1. What Simetigast Forte is and what it is used for

Simetigast Forte is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with excessive accumulation of gas in the abdominal cavity, such as bloating, abdominal fullness and belching.

The medical device Simetigast Forte also helps to remove foam, gas and air from the digestive system before diagnostic procedures in the abdominal cavity, such as ultrasound examination, endoscopy and X-ray, as this improves the quality of the images.

2. What you need to know before taking Simetigast Forte

Simetigast Forte should not be used:

· if you are allergic to simethicone or any component of the product;

· if perforation or obstruction of the digestive system is established or suspected;

· if you are under 12 years old, pregnant or breast-feeding, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Warnings and precautions

The interaction of simethicone in patients older than 12 years is unknown. Due to possible interactions, it is not recommended to use the medicinal product together with other drugs.

This medicine can be used by people with diabetes because it does not contain sugar.

Taking the medicinal product Simetigast Forte does not affect your ability to drive a car or operate machinery.

3. How to take Simetigast Forte

Always use Simetigast Forte exactly as indicated in the instructions for use of the medical device. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

This medicinal product can be used for 4 weeks without consulting a doctor. If necessary, after consulting a doctor, the medicinal product can be used longer.

Dosage:

For patients with digestive system disorders:

- adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 capsule 2-3 times a day.

The medicinal product Simetigast should be taken during or after a meal. The capsule should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of liquid.

Before diagnostic procedures

– 1 capsule in the evening the day before the test (240 mg simethicone) and 1 capsule in the morning on the day of the test (240 mg simethicone).

If you forget to take the medicine Simetigast Forte, do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

If your digestive symptoms persist, recur, or worsen, contact your doctor to determine the cause and begin treatment.

4. Possible side effects

There is no information on significant side effects of simethicone.

5. How to store Simetigast Forte

Store this medicinal product in a dry place, out of the reach of children, at a temperature below 25°C. Do not use Simetigast Forte after the expiry date indicated on the box. Valid until the last day of the specified month.

Empty packaging must be disposed of in accordance with local requirements. The same applies to unused and expired medicinal products.
