Bionorica Imupret N 1ml/ml, oral drops, 50ml - Cold Flu

Indications: traditionally used at the first signs and during the course of a cold.

Action: Imupret N is a traditional herbal medicinal product whose indications are based solely on long-term use. If you do not feel better or feel worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.

Dosage: dosing for severe (acute) cold symptoms in the first days of treatment:
- children aged 2 to 5: single dose: 10 drops; daily dose: (5-6 times a single dose): 50 - 60 drops;
- children aged 6 to 11 years: single dose: 15 drops; daily dose (5-6 times a single dose): 75 - 90 drops;
- adolescents from 12 years of age and adults: single dose: 25 drops; daily dose (5-6 times a single dose): 125 - 150 drops.

Use the product in accordance with the prescribed dosage until symptoms begin to subside or improve, but not longer than for a week (7 days). When the symptoms subside or are milder, the dosage should be reduced in accordance with the table below:
- children aged 2 to 5 years: single dose: 10 drops; daily dose: (5-6 times a single dose): 30 drops;
- children aged 6 to 11 years: single dose: 15 drops; daily dose (3 times a single dose): 45 drops;
- adolescents from 12 years of age and adults: single dose: 25 drops; daily dose (3 times a single dose): 75 drops.

The medicine can be taken with a small amount of liquid (e.g. water served in a medicine glass or in the case of children - in a small spoonful of water). For easier dosing, hold the bottle upright while measuring the drops. Slight sediment or turbidity may appear during storage.

Composition: the active substance of the drug is an extract composed of:
100 ml of oral drops contains 100 ml of an extract (1:38) obtained from: Equisetum arvense L., herba (horsetail herb); Achillea millefolium L., herba (yarrow herb); Althaea officinalis L., radix (marshmallow root); Juglans regia L., folium (walnut leaves); Taraxacum officinale FH Wigg., herba (dandelion herb); Matricaria recutita L., flos (camomile flower); Quercus robur L., Q. petraea (Matt.) Liebl. and Quercus pubescens Willd., cortex (oak bark) in ratio (5/4/4/4/4/3/2); Extraction solvent: 59% [V/V] ethanol. Contains up to 19.5% (v/v) ethanol.

Contraindications: if the patient is allergic to the active substances or to any of the excipients; if the patient is allergic to plants from the Asteraceae family Astreacae (formerly Compositae; do not use in children under 2 years of age.

Warnings and precautions: if symptoms persist for more than a week, or if you develop difficulty breathing, fever, purulent or bloody sputum, contact your doctor.

Interactions with other medications: Tell your doctor about all medications you are taking, have recently taken, or plan to take. There are no studies evaluating the interaction of Imupret N oral drops with other drugs when administered simultaneously. Interactions of Imupret N with other drugs have not been reported so far. When using products containing oak bark, the absorption of alkaloids and other alkaline medicinal products may be reduced or blocked.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. The use of this drug in women during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended due to the lack of studies evaluating the safety of its use, as well as the content of ethanol.

Driving and using machines: Imupret N taken at recommended doses has no significant influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
