Allegra 120mg, 10 tablets - hay fever

Indications: Allegra is used in adults and children 12 years of age and older to treat the symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) such as sneezing, itchy nose, runny or stuffy nose, and itchy, red and watery eyes.

Action: Allegra contains fexofenadine hydrochloride, which is an antihistamine

Dosage: For adults and children aged 12 years and older, the recommended dose is 1 tablet (120mg) once a day. Tablets should be taken orally, before a meal, with water. If symptoms do not improve after 5 days of starting the drug, you should contact your doctor.

Composition: 1 coated tablet contains: active substance: fexofenadine hydrochloride 120mg. Other ingredients: tablet core composition: croscarmellose sodium, pregelatinized corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate. The composition of the shell: hypromellose E-15, hypromellose E-5, povidone K30, titanium dioxide (E 171), colloidal anhydrous silica, macrogol 400, red iron oxide (E 172) and yellow iron oxide (E 172).

Contraindications: allergic to fexofenadine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this drug.

Warnings and precautions: when to take special care with Allegra: if you have kidney or liver problems; if you have or have ever had a cardiovascular disease, as this medicine may cause a fast or irregular heartbeat; if the patient is elderly. If any of the above applies to you, or if you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Allegra.

Drug interactions: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. Taking antacids containing aluminum and magnesium may affect how Allegra works by reducing the amount of medicine absorbed. It is therefore recommended to leave an interval of approximately 2 hours between taking the above-mentioned antacids and administering Allegra.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Allegra should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary. The use of Allegra during breast-feeding is not recommended.

Driving and using machines: Allegra is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or use machines. This means that patients can drive motor vehicles and perform tasks that require concentration. However, make sure that this medicine does not make you drowsy or dizzy before driving or operating machinery. If you experience these symptoms, do not drive or use machines.
